Torunes Farm: Organic Coffee and Pollinator Conservation

Since 1897, Torunes Farm in Palmares, Costa Rica, has been a leader in coffee. For the past three decades Torunes has championed the movement to organic coffee cultivation. Certified by USDA and Eco-LOGICA, the Esquivel family prioritizes sustainable farming, rejecting synthetic pesticides to protect the environment. Handpicked coffee cherries are sun-dried and small-batch roasted for premium quality.
Beyond coffee, the farm supports Melipona bees through its Bee Oasis, a habitat fostering pollinator health and biodiversity. Through direct trade, Torunes Farm sustains local families and conservation efforts.
Blending tradition with sustainability, it remains a benchmark for organic coffee and ecological stewardship in Costa Rica.
